The StART Aviation Noise Working Group met in February 2025 to review Seattle-Tacoma International Airport's Late Night Noise Limitation Program, which tracks aircraft noise between midnight and 5 AM and found 8% of operations exceeded thresholds in Q4 2025. The group decided against expanding the program to cover 11 PM–midnight, as most flights in that hour already use quieter aircraft and the change would triple monitored operations with little noise-reduction benefit. The StART Policy Working Group met on January 5, 2026 to plan advocacy efforts at the state and federal level on behalf of communities neighboring Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Key topics included organizing a State Day on the Hill in Olympia on February 3, reviewing a proposed study on the airport's socioeconomic and health impacts on surrounding communities, and discussing a recent federal legislative win allowing the FAA to fund secondary noise insulation repair and replacement at airports like SEA. The group also addressed how to handle items lacking full consensus on their State Legislative Agenda, including a contentious airport-related bill expected to be revised in the upcoming session.

The StART (SEA Stakeholder Advisory Round Table) meeting scheduled for December 17, 2025, brings together Port of Seattle officials, FAA representatives, and community leaders to discuss aviation noise and policy issues affecting neighborhoods around Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
