Minutes of Quiet by Noise Monitor

I need a break

We all know that the noise is bad for human health–not merely ‘annoying’. We know that nighttime flights are especially bad due to sleep disruption. And we know that the gap between flights keeps shrinking as the number of operations increases.

This report show you the amount of time between flights as detected by the Port of Seattle’s NOMS. Some people can be awakened once and then are unable to fall back asleep. Others can, but the quality of sleep suffers. What does it do to the body to be awakened repeatedly during the night? These gaps are an area that needs to be studied more thoroughly.
