Here are some typical examples of Port Package Problems ranging from the ‘foggy windows’ and ‘blown seals’ to structural damage and disreputable installs. There’s a bonus item: ventilation. Bonus: Ventilation
All that matters are the votes…
We never wish to embarrass current or recent electeds. But facts are facts. When it comes to aviation, no member of any Washington delegation, Federal or State, House or Senate, votes against the airline industry. They write letters. They propose various regulatory bits that have no chance at passage. But every vote that has made

This is a voluntary program to track airlines by noise. Who are the main violators. Who is improving. Who is not. Flying Quiet First Quarter 2022 Scoring List From the
Port of Seattle Advertisement in Highline Times by Joe Sims re. North SeaTac Park Master Plan
By Joe Sims Manager Planning & Research, Port of Seattle“For several years the Port of Seattle has been buying severely noise impacted property around Sea-Tac Airport. Most of this land -ultimately nearly 450 acres at the north end of the airport -is destined to become one of the country’s most unique public parks. Unique, because
*Where’s my Clair Patterson?
There is this form of air pollution, which you probably have not heard of, called ultrafine particulates (UFPs). Though they are invisible, they seem to have some particularly nasty effects on human health. UFPs have not been well-studied, they are unregulated, and yet they are prevalent in commercial jet engine emissions. But this is not

The two projects have always been part of a regional plan begun over fifty years ago to meet the strategic goals of the Port Of Seattle and regional planners. The construction of SR-509 will affect the communities are great deal. But starting in 2027 the projects will also increase flight operations at least 33% and cargo operations by 300%.
The Rush
I’ve spoken to several Des Moines residents this week, people who were deeply opposed to the Third Runway, but wish the Port would “get its act together and do something about those long lines at the airport!” Or… they hate the noise, but on the other hand, the $45 flights from Boise are just the
Elon Musk is just saying what everyone in tech always thought
Last week the world’s richest man, once again, let his Id do the talking. And as so often happens, he was simply saying what his peers feel but are constrained from saying openly by ‘political correctness’. It should be a wake-up call for everyone who thinks that there is a ‘new normal’ of Remote Work
Port Dracula
Using your tax dollars to drain the life from your community By virtue of its unique status as a Port District under RCW 53, and the owner and operator of a Class I Airport, the Port of Seattle has a set of financial powers unlike any other regional government. And it has learned to wield
PSCAA Community Engagement Workshop
I attended a Community Engagement Workshop hosted by Puget Sound Clean Air Agency (PSCAA.) Long story short, they’re a creation of the State and kinda/sorta act as a local arm of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). They monitor air quality according to EPA standards and have (limited) enforcement authority for King, Snohomish, Pierce and Kitsap
