John Parrott named CEO of Boeing Field
Fired by former Gov. Bill Walker, the longtime manager of Ted Stevens International Airport will take over at Boeing Field in Seattle on Jan. 14 as the new airport director. Funded primarily by the FAA with a 5% match from King County, the program installs sound insulation upgrades to reduce the impact of aircraft noise inside residences. Homeowners who qualify must complete an eight-step participation process, including attending a briefing, signing a program contract, and granting an avigation easement.
