    Sea-Tac Airport Parking Lots Aerial

Black-and-white aerial photograph showing a large commercial airport with a curved terminal building, a multi-level parking garage featuring distinctive circular ramp towers, taxiways, and numerous commercial jet aircraft at gates. The architectural style and aircraft visible suggest a photograph from the late 1960s or early 1970s, consistent with the era of Sea-Tac Airport's early expansion, though no visible text or markings in the image confirm the specific location or date.

A campaign statement from Hamdi, candidate for Port Commission Position 3, opposing the Port of Seattle's proposal to build an airport employee parking lot in North SeaTac Park. The statement cites environmental health disparities in the SeaTac community, highlights the park's role in reducing pollution, and calls on supporters to sign a petition urging Port Commissioners to reject the plan.

Sea-Tac Airport Communities Impact Study: Appendix A, Section 7 – Mobility

This 2020 report examines how Seattle-Tacoma International Airport has affected mobility in surrounding communities between 1997 and 2019, focusing on traffic congestion, residential parking, and pedestrian access. It documents major infrastructure changes such as the 2010 consolidation of rental car facilities to an off-site location 1.5 miles from the terminal and the expansion of the main parking garage from 10,000 to roughly 13,000 spaces. The analysis draws on data from government agencies including the Port of Seattle, WsDOT, Sound Transit, and King County Metro to identify transportation impacts and recommend future tracking measures.

As the source for federal transportation grants, the Puget Sound Regional Council was charged with developing a system to meet the growing need for commercial aviation. When the search for a second airport failed, they authorized the Port of Seattle to build the Third Runway, with a mandate to develop a noise abatement and mitigation program. In their effort to stop the Third Runway, the ACC argued over every detail of the Port's efforts--including property buyouts and sound insulation. The dispute was meant to be settled by a three member Expert Arbitration Panel. This is their final report. It finds 2-1, that the Port's program was insufficient in several respects. Despite that, funding for the Third Runway was approved by the PSRC, and the 'Port Package' program, proceeded largely unchanged. Expert Arbitration Panel's final decision finding that the Port of Seattle had not shown sufficient reduction in real on-the-ground noise impacts to satisfy noise reduction conditions required for approval of a third runway at Sea-Tac International Airport. The majority decision concluded the Port's noise abatement programs were insufficient despite being impressive in scope.
