A October 2001 draft memorandum summarizes chemical analysis results from a January 14, 1999 stormwater sampling event at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (STIA). Water samples were collected from eight receiving stream locations during a storm and tested for metals (copper, lead, and zinc), organic carbon, hardness, and suspended solids. The key finding was that metal concentrations at all sampling sites fell below Washington State hardness-corrected water quality standards (WAC 173-201A-040). -
