Notes cover two calls: (1) Gary Bailey at Washington State Department of Ecology (360-407-6433) regarding requirement for Ecology to review SAP (Sampling Analysis Plan) and QAPP before work commences, to be reviewed by Norm Glen’s group in the Environmental Assessment Program, and draft WER (Waste Effluent Requirement) guidance being sent to regions on Monday (approximately 5/24/99) for review; (2) Kevin Fitzpatrick at Ecology regarding clean sampling and analysis techniques for ports discharges, mixing zones, copper (Cu) concentrations, clean techniques utility for outfalls where Cu concentrations hover around the 48 ppb criterion, and further discussions re treatment BMPs for existing outfalls.
