HCP Draft EIS Maps: Land Affected by Proposed Area Zoning and Proposed Changes in Residential and Nonresidential Zones

These three maps outline proposed area zoning changes in communities surrounding Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, including White Center, Burien, and nearby neighborhoods. The plans identify land targeted for rezoning across residential categories (such as downzoning to single-family or upzoning to multi-family) as well as nonresidential categories (including airport open use, manufacturing, commercial, and air terminal-related business). Dotted boundaries mark primary impact areas around the airport, reflecting efforts to align land use policy with airport noise and operational concerns.

Notes

Three maps from a Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Sea-Tac Airport area. Figure 1 shows land affected by proposed area zoning changes across subareas including White Center, Burien, Normandy Park, Des Moines, and SeaTac, with primary impact areas delineated. Figure 2 shows proposed changes in residential zones including downzones to single-family, upzones to multi-family, conversions from residential to nonresidential or mixed use, and parcels designated as potential for future rezone. Figure 3 shows proposed changes in nonresidential zones including Airport Open Use, Manufacturing, Commercial, Air Terminal Related Business, Business, and Mixed Use designations, centered on Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
