H.R. 6271, the Farm to Fly Act of 2023, introduced in the 118th Congress, 1st Session on November 7, 2023 by Mr. Miller of Ohio, Mr. Flood, Ms. Craig, Mr. Finstad, Ms. Budzinski, Mrs. Hinson, Ms. Crockett, Mr. Feenstra, and Mr. Nunn of Iowa. Referred to the Committee on Agriculture. Amends Section 9001 of the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 (7 U.S.C. 8101) to add sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to the definition of biofuels under USDA bio-energy programs. Adds new paragraph (18) defining sustainable aviation fuel. Supports the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Grand Challenge, domestic energy security, agricultural feedstocks, and rural economic development.
