U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) biological opinion (FWS Reference #1-3-00-F-1420) transmitted to Lowell H. Johnson of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regarding effects of the proposed Master Plan Update Improvements (MPUI) for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (Sea-Tac) in King County, Washington on threatened bull trout (Salvelinus confluentus), bald eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus), and marbled murrelet (Brachyramphus marmoratus) under Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act. Formal consultation requested by FAA June 15, 2000; covers Port of Seattle proposed actions including third runway embankment fill (16.5 million cubic yards), Runway 16X/34X, 600-ft extension of Runway 34R, property acquisition along Des Moines Memorial Drive and SR-509, permanent filling of 18.37 acres of wetlands, and off-site wetland mitigation near Green River in Auburn, King County. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Clean Water Act Section 404 permit also addressed. Peregrine falcon delisted August 25, 1999 (64 FR 46542) and not addressed.
