Report prepared September 13, 2022 by WSDOT for the Commercial Aviation Coordinating Commission (CACC) summarizing results of an online open house held August 15–September 11, 2022, and two virtual public meetings via Zoom on August 23 and 31, 2022. Covers public input on 10 greenfield airport sites in Skagit County Northwest, Skagit County Southwest, Snohomish County Northwest, Snohomish County Southeast, East King County, Pierce County East, Pierce County Central, Thurston County Central, Thurston County South, and Lewis County, as well as Bremerton National and Paine Field. Online open house received nearly 60,000 page views from ~20,000 users; 1,121 provided zip codes. Users provided 60,320 multiple-choice responses and 12,429 comments. Virtual meetings attended by 304 people; 217 questions/comments submitted. Most common virtual meeting theme was opposition to the East King County site (69 comments). Common public concerns include environmental impacts, traffic infrastructure, farmland loss, flooding, noise, and rural character.
