Appendix D to the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (Sea-Tac Airport) Sustainable Airport Master Plan (SAMP) 2024 Draft Environmental Assessment, containing the Biological Evaluation (BE) and ESA Section 7 informal consultation request submitted by FAA (Kandice Krull) to the Northwest Seaport Alliance (Sara Potter). The BE evaluates potential effects of Near-Term Projects (NTPs) on twelve listed species, one proposed-for-listing species, and one candidate species under the Endangered Species Act. FAA effect determinations include ‘May affect, not likely to adversely affect’ for Chinook salmon (Puget Sound ESU) and critical habitat, Steelhead (Puget Sound ESU), Bull trout (Coastal-Puget Sound DPS) and critical habitat, Bocaccio rockfish (Puget Sound/Georgia Basin DPS) and critical habitat, Yelloweye rockfish (Puget Sound/Georgia Basin DPS) and critical habitat, and Killer whale (Southern Resident DPS) and critical habitat; ‘No effect’ for North American wolverine, Yellow-billed cuckoo, Marbled murrelet, Northwestern pond turtle, Southern Pacific eulachon, Central America/Western North Pacific Humpback Whale, and Southern green sturgeon; and ‘Not likely to jeopardize continued existence’ for Monarch butterfly.
