Memorandum dated April 21, 1999 from Roger Nye, Project Manager for the Sea-Tac Airport Groundwater Study, Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology) Northwest Regional Office, to Steve Alexander, Section Head TCP-NWRO, through Joe Hickey, Unit Supervisor TEC Unit. Requests contract services to provide independent technical assistance evaluating Port Of Seattle groundwater contamination study conducted under an Agreed Order with Ecology. Scope covers evaluation of conceptual groundwater model, three-dimensional MODFLOW computer modeling, contaminant transport modeling, independent simulations, and fieldwork verification. Study purpose is to assess whether groundwater contamination at Sea-Tac Airport poses risk to surface waters and public water wells in the airport vicinity.
