Final Package of Mediated Noise Abatement Actions for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, agreed to by the Mediation Committee on March 31, 1990, prepared by Port Of Seattle and Mestre Greve Associates. Covers noise budget, nighttime limitations, noise remedy/mitigation program (sound insulation, audit procedures, mobile homes, hardship committee, transaction assistance, public buildings), Duwamish/Elliott Bay Corridor noise abatement procedures, Microwave Landing System, nighttime flight corridors, ground noise control, noise management system (flight track monitoring), flight track management, most annoying operations, and Sea-Tac Noise Abatement Committee. Technical consultant stated this represented the most comprehensive noise control program of any major international airport in the country, with potential 50% Ldn noise level reduction in surrounding communities.
