Exhibit AR026505: Memorandum — Results of Soils Testing for Pesticides and Herbicides, Vacca Farm Site

Notes

Memorandum from Mike Warfel of Parametrix, Inc. to Paul Agid of Port Of Seattle, dated March 7, 2000, reporting results of soils testing for pesticides and herbicides at the Vacca Farm Site for the Port of Seattle 3rd Runway Project (Project No. 556-2912-001(66)). Thirteen soil samples collected November 9, 1999 from six locations were analyzed by Sound Analytical Services for organochlorine pesticides (EPA Method 8181, 20 compounds), organophosphorous pesticides (EPA Method 8140, 27 compounds), and herbicides (EPA Method 8150, 12 compounds). Dieldrin was the only compound exceeding MTCA Method B cleanup level of 62.5 µg/kg, with concentrations of 86 and 85 µg/kg at stations FP-1 and FP-2 in the proposed floodplain area. Miller Creek relocation corridor samples (MC-1, MC-2, MC-3) did not exceed MTCA Method B standards. Recommendations include excavating and disposing of the upper 6 inches (~4,400 cubic yards) of floodplain soil offsite.
