Notes
Letter dated June 19, 2000 from Michael D. Feldman, Director of Aviation Facilities, Port Of Seattle, to Pat Svoboda at the Washington Department of Ecology Northwest Regional Office, submitting a Change of Water Right Application (AR 023782) for Well 1 located on Port property at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The application seeks to add flow augmentation of Des Moines Creek as a use to existing Certificate of Ground Water Right No. 2369 (400 gallons per minute / 560 acre-feet per year, priority date February 9, 1949, certificate dated October 18, 1955), originally drilled for King County Water District No. 75 (now Highline Water District). Current use is irrigation of Tyee Valley Golf Club (Golf Management Inc.), operating since 1965 on approximately 96 acres. New use targets flows below 1 cubic foot per second or creek temperatures exceeding 16 degrees Celsius under the Des Moines Creek Basin Plan, jointly funded by the cities of SeaTac and Des Moines, Washington Department of Transportation, King County, and Port Of Seattle. Documents reference King County Superior Court condemnation cases Nos. 550306 and 557216 (1960), water right certificates 2369 and 2376, and an agreement between Port Of Seattle and Highline Water District confirming Port title to Water Right #1.
