Chapter 3: Affected Environment — Seattle-Tacoma International Airport Environmental Assessment for the Sustainable Airport Master Plan Near-Term Projects

This draft Environmental Assessment from October 2024 examines the existing conditions around Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) as part of the Sustainable Airport Master Plan Near-Term Projects. General Study Area (GSA) encompasses 3,692 acres (5.8 square miles) bounded by S. 140th Street, 33rd Avenue S., S. 200th Street, and Des Moines Way. Nearby cities include Burien, Des Moines, Normandy Park, SeaTac, Tukwila, Federal Way, Kent, and Seattle. Predominant adjacent land uses include residential, park land, industrial, and commercial.
