King County Council District 8 Councilman Bob Grieve constituent mailer protesting the relocation of Boeing headquarters into the open space buffer zone designated by the Highline Community Plan (adopted December 1977), bounded by Sea-Tac Airport to the east, 12th Avenue South to the west, South 154th Street to the north, and South 176th Street to the south. King County Council voted 6-3 to amend the comprehensive plan to allow re-zone from single family residential to light manufacturing. Grieve opposed the amendment alongside two other council members; adjacent residents opposed the Boeing relocation as precedent-setting.
