Air Quality Baseline (2016) Condition Report: SAMP Environmental Review, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport

This report, prepared by Landrum & Brown for the Port of Seattle, documents baseline air quality conditions at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport as of 2016, as part of the Sustainable Airport Master Plan (SAMP) Environmental Review. It inventories emission sources across the airport—including aircraft operations, ground support equipment, and stationary sources like boilers and generators—and compares 2016 emission levels to those from 2014. The findings are intended to support future environmental planning and assessment of proposed airport development.

Notes

Preliminary draft air quality baseline conditions report prepared by Landrum & Brown for the Port of Seattle’s Sustainable Airport Master Plan (SAMP) Environmental Review at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (Sea-Tac Airport), dated September 2017. Covers 2016 baseline year data including National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS), King County air quality status, emission sources (aircraft, ground support equipment/GSE, stationary sources including boilers and generators), and emission inventories using AEDT and EDMS models. Includes 2016 annual operations, passenger/cargo/air taxi/charter/general aviation aircraft fleet mix, and percent change between 2014 and 2016 annual emissions for pollutants including CO, NOx, SOx, VOC, PM2.5, and PM10. Air quality monitoring locations near Sea-Tac Airport are mapped.
