Notes
FAA Northwest Mountain Region Denver Airports District Office letter dated July 2, 2024, to Washington Department of Ecology Federal Consistency Coordinator Loreé Randall, documenting a Negative Determination under 15 CFR Part 930.35 (Coastal Zone Management Act) for the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport Sustainable Airport Master Plan (SAMP) Near-Term Projects (NTPs). FAA determined that 31 NTPs are not reasonably likely to result in coastal effects. Four airfield projects involve FAA actions: A01 Taxiway A/B Extension (relocate Runway 34R glideslope antenna, adjust PAPI), A02 Runway 16R/34L Blast Pads (relocate navigational aids 200 feet north), A04 Taxiway B 500-foot Separation (relocate navigational aids), and A06 Runway 34L High Speed Exit (relocate multilateration remote unit). All FAA actions occur in upland areas; construction starts 2026 over six years. Port of Seattle responsible for Consistency Certification under Clean Water Act. Washington State coastal zone, CZMA, 15 CFR Part 930 Subpart C and D referenced. Appendix E of 2024 Draft Environmental Assessment.
