Johnson, FAA Airport Division Manager, concurring with the ‘may affect, not likely to adversely affect’ determination for threatened Puget Sound chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha) and designated critical habitat under ESA Section 7(a)(2) for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (STIA) Master Plan Update Improvements (NMFS No. WSB-00-318). Covers FAA funding, FAA control tower and navigational aids construction, and Corps of Engineers Section 404 Clean Water Act permit. Also addresses Essential Fish Habitat (EFH) under Magnuson-Stevens Act Section 305(b) for coastal pelagic species and West Coast groundfish; finds projects ‘not likely to adversely affect’ EFH. Action area includes Miller Creek, Walker Creek, Des Moines Creek, Gilliam Creek, Midway Sewer District Puget Sound outfall, and Auburn wetland mitigation site near Green River.
