Letter dated May 31, 2001 from NMFS Northwest Region to FAA Airport Division Manager Lowell H. Johnson (NMFS No. WSB-00-318) concurring with the ‘may affect, not likely to adversely affect’ determination for threatened Puget Sound chinook salmon (Onchorhynchus tshawytscha) and designated critical habitat under ESA Section 7(a)(2), and finding STIA projects ‘not likely to adversely affect’ Essential Fish Habitat (EFH) for coastal pelagic species and West Coast groundfish under Magnuson-Stevens Act Section 305(b). Covers Sea-Tac Airport Master Plan Update Improvements including new 8,500-foot runway, 600-foot runway extension, runway safety areas, Miller Creek relocation (~980-foot reach), Auburn wetland mitigation site near Green River, stormwater management, Industrial Wastewater System, and FAA navigation aids. Action area includes Miller Creek, Walker Creek, Des Moines Creek, Gilliam Creek, and Midway Sewer District outfall in Puget Sound.
