City of SeaTac Municipal Code section 15.30.340 and King County Code section 21A.24.360 establishing stream development standards and minimum buffer requirements from the ordinary high water mark (OHWM). Specifies buffers for Class 1 streams (100 feet), Class 2 streams used by salmonids (100 feet), Class 2 streams not used by salmonids (50 feet), and Class 3 streams (25 feet). King County code adds Bear Creek Basin provisions: 150-foot buffer for Class 1 and 2 salmonid streams, 100-foot buffer for Class 2 non-salmonid streams, 50-foot or 100-foot buffer for Class 3 streams in regionally significant resource areas. Both codes address slope conditions (30%–40%), riparian wetland adjacency, buffer width averaging, and prohibition on hazardous substances, pesticides, and fertilizers in stream corridors.
