Minutes of the Policy Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting held August 11, 1977, for the Highline Communities Plan. Attendees included Don Shay (Director of Aviation, Port Of Seattle), Oris Dunham (Deputy Director of Aviation, Port Of Seattle), Jack Lynch (King County Director of Planning & Community Development), Irv Berteig (King County Planning Manager), FAA Airports Branch representative Bob Brown, and members from the Westside Residential Committee, Highline Community Council, Zone 3 Committee, and Policy Development Commission. Primary agenda item was a review of the Boeing Company’s proposed office facility on the westside of Sea-Tac Airport, presented by Don Davis (Boeing) and Dick Foster of Skidmore, Owens & Merrill. Discussion covered site access, parking, landscaping, landforms, security, a viewpoint park, and a proposed water body amenity. Document also includes two maps: a Highline Communities Plan overview map showing Seattle, Tukwila, Des Moines, Normandy Park, Kent, and Puget Sound; and a Highline Community Council PAC Boundaries map showing approximate 1980 population figures for North (24,722), West (18,137), East (44,498), and South (27,590) areas.
