King County Landmarks Commission Final Designation Report (File No. e554) for Hillgrove Cemetery Association, designated as a King County community landmark on August 12, 1982. Located at 200th Street South between 15th and 16th Streets, 210 feet along 200th Street South and 100 feet deep. Significant features include cemetery plots, gravestones, property, entrance, trees, and landscape features. Criteria applied: Section 4(1b.) of Ordinance 4828 — cemetery contains graves of settlers and pioneers important to development of the Highline area. Preliminary determination issued July 12, 1982; public hearing August 12, 1982; Melani Draper of Hillgrove Cemetery Association testified. Section 8 certificate of appropriateness requirements noted, though Section 8 does not apply to community landmarks.
