This Commission agenda memorandum requests approval of the Port of Seattle’s 2019 federal policy priorities and authorization for staff to engage with federal officials and partners in support of these priorities. The agenda covers portwide immigration and trade policies, aviation priorities including infrastructure funding, airport operations, community engagement, and sustainable aviation fuels, as well as maritime priorities including Harbor Maintenance Tax reform, Terminal 5 modernization, fishing fleet modernization, Puget Sound restoration, and harbor deepening. Many 2018 agenda items carry forward into 2019 with some reprioritization based on local and national activity.
