Minutes of the September 12, 2022 joint workshop between the City of Naples City Council and Naples Airport Authority (NAA), held at Naples City Council Chamber, 735 Eighth Street South, Naples, Florida. Topics include the Naples Airport Master Plan (presented by Doug DiCarlo, Environmental Science Associates), the Part 150 Noise Study update (presented by Mike Arnold, Environmental Science Associates), airport noise abatement measures including raising aircraft arrival and departure altitudes, modifying flight routings, dispersing activity, and the proposal to reclassify Naples Municipal Airport from Class D to Class C to raise the ceiling from 2,500 to 4,000 feet. Discussions cover the 40 percent increase in jet traffic, the 1.3 percent projected growth rate versus actual growth, a possible airport relocation study, FAA funding implications, and public comments from Port Royal Association President Jenna Heiderman, Royal Harbor Association President Donna Krall, and Linda Nelson regarding noise and pollution. NAA Executive Director Chris Rozansky and Chair Kerry Dustin participated. Council members present include Mayor Teresa Lee Heitmann, Vice Mayor Michael McCabe, Ted Blankenship, Ray Christman, Terry Hutchison, Paul Perry, and Beth Petrunoff.
