Notes
H.R. 5205, introduced in the 119th Congress on September 8, 2025, would amend title 49 of the United States Code to authorize owners or operators of general aviation airports to impose certain noise-related restrictions on noncommercial charter flights. The bill requires the FAA Administrator to consult with general aviation airport owners upon request to make reasonable adjustments to air traffic and training patterns, while also mandating community input and protecting airports from loss of federal funding for implementing such measures. It also directs the Secretary of Transportation to update FAA regulations to facilitate noise abatement measures at general aviation airports.
