Sea-Tac Airport Communities Impact Study: Air Quality Analysis (Section 6, Appendix A)

Notes

Stantec-prepared Section 6 (Air Quality) of the 2019/2020 Department of Commerce Sea-Tac Airport Communities Impact Study, covering air quality changes from 1997 through 2018 within a 15-mile radius of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Analyzes NAAQS criteria pollutants — ozone (O3), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO), PM2.5, PM10, TSP, and lead (Pb) — against 1997 and current federal, Washington State, and Puget Sound Clean Air Agency (PSCAA) standards. Documents 13 monitoring stations in King County operated by Ecology and PSCAA, including Beacon Hill, 10th & Weller, East Marginal Way (Seattle-Duwamish), Lake Sammamish, Kent-James & Central, and Auburn-M Street. Finds King County in Attainment or Unclassified status; notes discontinuation of SeaTac NO2/PM10 monitors due to decreasing trends well below NAAQS.
