Notes
A letter from Columbia Biological Assessments to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Washington State Department of Ecology, evaluating the Port of Seattle’s plan to use detained stormwater to augment summer low flows in Miller, Walker, and Des Moines Creeks. The author concludes the Port has not provided sufficient information to assure that the proposal will not harm aquatic resources, citing concerns about toxic metals, human pathogens, sediment management, and an incomplete monitoring plan. The letter was prepared at the request of the Airport Communities Coalition.
