This report presents the 2005 greenhouse gas emissions inventory for the City of Seattle, covering both a community-wide geographic inventory and a corporate inventory of city government operations. The document explains the methodology used, including the distinction between geographic and corporate inventory approaches, and notes that no standard protocol existed at the time for local-level carbon footprint assessments. It was prepared by a consultant to the City of Seattle Office of Sustainability and Environment and audited by Envirometrics, Inc.
