Notes
Letter dated January 15, 1982 from Mark A. Beisse, Acting Chief, Planning and Programming Branch (ANW-610), FAA Northwest Region, to Jody Yamanaka, Department of Planning and Research, Port of Seattle, reviewing the second draft forecast of aviation demand for Boeing Field (BFI) for use in the SEA/BFI Airspace Study. Comments address: annual operations by aircraft class per Exhibit 3 of the work program; aircraft mix data; assumptions underlying category forecasts including general economy, fuel costs, and general aviation trends; use of Washington State Airport System Plan (October 1980) growth rates (.98% and .94% per year); unconstrained forecasts; and recommendation to include high and low forecast ranges to reflect long-range uncertainty, with reference to Task 5 airspace interactions. References FAA Aviation Forecasts–Seattle-Tacoma (December 1979) and conversation with Don Maddison on 11/5/81. Copied to Don Smith, Bill Hamilton, Joe Sims.
