This is a Washington State Legislature House Bill No. 636 relating to aircraft noise abatement, amending section 2, chapter 121, Laws of 1974 and RCW 53.54.020. The bill establishes requirements for port commissions to investigate and monitor aircraft noise impact and adopt noise abatement programs, while defining ‘impacted areas’ and restricting port districts from undertaking programs for owners of property previously relocated under the chapter. It passed the House on February 21, 1979 with 91 yeas and 4 nays, and the Senate on March 2, 1979 with 29 yeas and 17 nays.
