Direct testimony of Ching-Pi Wang, Environmental Engineer 4 in the Toxics Cleanup Program, Northwest Regional Office, Department of Ecology, Bellevue, Washington, submitted before the Pollution Control Hearings Board (PCHB No. 01-160) in the matter of Airport Communities Coalition (ACC) and Citizens Against Sea-Tac Expansion (CASE) v. State of Washington Department of Ecology and Port Of Seattle. Wang describes his role directing the SeaTac groundwater modeling project and pathways analysis under Agreed Order #97TC-N122, examining flow of groundwater and subsurface contaminants from beneath the Sea-Tac Airport Operations and Maintenance Area (SeaTac AOMA). The pathways analysis evaluated four contaminant migration pathways including migration to perched and regional water table aquifer (Qva aquifer), as a component of Ecology’s Clean Water Act Section 401 Certification for the Port of Seattle’s Master Plan Improvement Updates project.
