Article Summary:
We want to hear from you! The draft State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Port of Seattle’s Sustainable Airport Master Plan (SAMP) for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) will be available for review starting May 22, 2026. You can visit the SAMP website to learn more, sign up for updates, and participate in the process.
The Puget Sound region is projected to grow by another one million people by 2035. To accommodate this growth and align with the Port’s sustainability goals, SAMP serves as the Port’s strategic blueprint for future development. This plan includes 31 Near-Term Projects (NTPs), most notably a second terminal, an elevated busway, and new cargo facilities.
