Background
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Approval
On September 26, 2025, the FAA completed their National Environmental Policy Act review and approved a Final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact/Record of Decision (FONSI/ROD) for 31 proposed SAMP Near-Term Projects at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Cargo facilities
Additional projects designed to improve efficiency and access to accommodate future demand
State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) Review
The Port of Seattle is conducting an environmental review under SEPA
Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIS) released May 22, 2026
60-day public comment period
City Coordination
City is working with Burien and SeaTac through a Council-approved Interlocal Agreement (ILA) to provide comments
Port of Seattle will present at a future City Council meeting
Port of Seattle has 4 public meetings scheduled the week of June 22nd
