Meeting minutes of the Des Moines Aviation Advisory Committee (AAC) held February 25, 2019, 4:30–5:56 p.m., North Conference Room. Attendees included City Manager Michael Matthias (Chair), CSO Susan Cezar, City Attorney Tim George, Permit Coordinator Tina Hickey, and committee members David Clark, Steve Edmiston, Wendy Ghiora, and Mark Proulx (Sheila Brush absent). Topics covered: 2.75 Glide Slope Exception (FAA and Port of Seattle), START Aviation Noise Working Group report on glide slope by Sheila Brush, conference call with Public Policy Consultant Anthony Hemsted on Washington State Legislature Aviation/Transportation bills, and SAMP (Sustainable Airport Master Plan) scoping report to be posted on Port Of Seattle website after February 26 meeting. Public comment from Larry Cripe on glide slope impacts to Sea-Tac Airport communities, and Matt Mahoney advocating for siting a new airport in a different Washington State region. Next meeting scheduled March 25, 2019.
