Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) — combined NEPA and Washington State SEPA document — prepared by the FAA Northwest Mountain Region (responsible federal official: Dennis Ossenkop) and Port Of Seattle (SEPA contact: Barbara Hinkle) for proposed Master Plan Update development actions at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (STIA), May 1997. Volume 2 contains Appendices C-2 through F, beginning with Appendix C-2: Air Quality. The SEIS addresses a proposed 8,500-foot third parallel runway (Runway 16X/34X) separated 2,500 feet from existing Runway 16L/34R, extension of Runway 34R by 600 feet, new air traffic control tower, North Unit Terminal, Main Terminal improvements, parking and access expansion, South Aviation Support Area for cargo/maintenance, and support facility relocation. Environmental impacts assessed include wetlands, floodplain encroachment, stream relocation, historic sites, noise, water quality, and air quality conformity analysis under the Clean Air Act amendments.
