What is the South King County Community Impact Fund? Mission The Port removes systemic barriers and enhances the quality of life for structurally excluded communities. We do so by increasing access to living wage jobs in Port- related industries, improving public spaces, and investing in community-led projects. Vision SKCCIF is a model for partnerships that address structural inequities, creates thriving communities, and advances equity for all. Program Scope of Work Length and Amount Economic Opportunities for Communities (70%) Access to port-related industry jobs and careers through community-led career connected learning strategies Port-industry jobs and careers are Aviation, Construction Trades, Green jobs/careers and Maritime • Single (1-year) up to $65-115k • Multi-year projects (2 or 3 years), up to $100-275k (multi-year) Environmental Improvements (20%) Community-led projects within airport cities to enhance livability, improve green spaces, and restore forests; includes public space improvements (parks, school playgrounds, or public square); equipment or artwork installations; or neighborhood or environmental stewardship and restoration projects • Requires 2:1 match • Single (1-year), up to $20k • Multi-year projects (2 or 3 years), up to $60k Diversity in Contracting (10%) Remove barriers, build and foster capacity of businesses, and grow WMBE and small business participation on Port contracts through: 1.
