Port of Seattle Commission presentation (Item 8h_supp, October 25, 2022) requesting authorization for the Executive Director to advertise and execute two construction contracts for 2023 Airfield Projects at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, covering CIP numbers C800930, C801177, C800844, C801171, and C801237. Total authorization request: $67,153,000. Contract #1 (federally funded, DBE goal 8%) covers 2023 Airfield Pavement and Supporting Infrastructure Replacement (C800930) and 2023 Airfield Utility Improvements (C801177). Contract #2 (WMBE goal 14%) covers Perimeter Intrusion Detection System (C800844, budget increase of $5,400,000 to $34,045,000 total), Snow Storage Expansion (C801171), Secured Area Vehicle Checkpoint (C801237, budget increase of $400,000 to $4,700,000 total), Cascade Road Ductbank, and Over Height Vehicle Damage Protection System. Authorization also sought for procuring long lead items, Project Labor Agreements for both contracts, Port crews for abatement work, and budget transfers among the 2023 Airfield Projects.
