The Port of Seattle and six surrounding cities write to FAA Administrator Steve Dickson to identify their top priorities for implementation of the Subtitle D Airport Noise and Environmental Streamlining provisions of the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018. The letter focuses on three priorities: evaluation of the 65 DNL noise standard, a study of overflight noise impacts on human health, and an environmental mitigation pilot program. The signatories also request a meeting to discuss secondary investment eligibility for residential buildings that have received noise insulation packages.
