Community attitude surveys: Noise remedies for the airport community

This 1983 report by McClure Research Company, prepared for Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co., presents findings from community attitude surveys conducted on behalf of the Port of Seattle as part of an update to the 1976 Noise Remedy Plan for neighborhoods surrounding Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The surveys gathered residents' opinions on noise mitigation options including purchase guarantees, home insulation cost-sharing, and avigation easement buyouts, as well as broader issues like park usage and residential development near the airport. The results were intended to help planners gauge community acceptance, estimate program participation rates, and determine appropriate levels of Port financial involvement in noise remedy programs.
