Meeting summary of the Des Moines Aviation Advisory Committee (AAC) held January 14, 2019, chaired by City Manager Michael Matthias. Topics include drafting a letter from City Council to Port Of Seattle, a proviso meeting with Washington State Department of Commerce attended by Matthias and Committee Member Steve Edmiston, inviting city consultants to meet with the AAC and City Council on May 2, 2019, and a summary of the January 10 City Council meeting where Edmiston presented the POSANC. City Manager invited to speak to Port Of Seattle Commission regarding StART on January 22, 2019. Committee discussed Burien Airport Committee December 18, 2018 agenda packet and January 7, 2019 Burien City Council meeting. Edmiston reported on the January 12, 2019 Port Of Seattle noise meeting in Burien. Public comments from JC Harris (suggested hiring a full-time lobbyist for airport issues), Ann Kroeker (noise emissions and EPA involvement), and Larry Cripe. Next meeting scheduled February 11, 2019.
