This is the hardware used for each of the 24 permanent noise monitors around Sea-Tac Airport. The significance for us ‘civilans’ is that it uses open-source standards for storing data. Which means that the public can (and should) have access to its recordings. That would enable us to audit the reports we get from the Port Of Seattle as to the number of flights, decibel levels, etc.
