. Last week, workshop partic:ijpants were asked to indent~fy th_e things they liked most in the •~mmunity. If you·had to pi~c just . one thing you liked best a bout the community, what would it be? VALLEY VIEW: Neighborhoods, accessibility, view, the schools. RIVERTON HEIGHTS: Convenient, •pen s pace, schools, NOT the taxes, weather , good area to live in, not too old, happy mix of people, monies, c~e. MARVISTA : Convenient, (between Seattle & Tacoma·), living near the water, woodsy, but not in the boondocks, not too dense., (rural atmosphere) D'!s Moines: To·pogr aphy, Puget Sound, views in all directions (most often mentioned), convenience, the el ement a ry schools, va riety ( woods+ metropo~ itan a rea) NORTH HILL: Pres ervation of natural amenities, trees, schools. SHOREWOC1D: First of importance is the natural beautr of the a rea . ffecause of . the topography we have a unique variety o different types of characted . Highline unlike many such areas has creek~. It has beautiful scenery and a close proximity to Puget Sound. Even though we are fairly close to a metropolitian a rea we a re still secluded and 'retain a relaxed a tmosphere. Shopping is easier than most a reas. Ge~er~ lly it is a convenient place ~o live, espec- ially where recreation i s concerned, as it is close· t o beach, mountains , f orrest, streams, and lakes, We like it and would like to keep it beautiful.
