    • Presentations to six cities in Summer 2019 • Presentations, feedback at Highline Forum and StART • Hired multicultural engagement consultant to identify community liaisons and grassroots organizations to provide input. • Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion interviewed dozens of community leaders and organizations from under-represented communities. • The fund supports Port related industries for projects and programs in four focus areas: – Small business assistance – Workforce development – Job creation – Development of new, innovative economic recovery strategies • Grants up to $100,000 for nonprofits • Deadline 9/30 @ 12pm Economic Recovery Grants- $1M Round 1, Summer 2020 • Small matching grants up to $20,000 for public improvement projects • Community groups and nonprofits in the six Highline Forum Cities are eligible • Projects must take place on public property and demonstrate a 3:1 match • Applications open 10/7- 11/19 Environmental Grants Program $250K Round 1, Fall 2020 • Launched in 2017 and available to community groups in Burien, Des Moines and SeaTac • Port has funded 42 projects for a total of $364,092 • ACE Small Matching Grants Program will sunset in 2020 • The balance of $185,908 will remain available to Burien, Des Moines and SeaTac through the new SKCF Environmental Grants Program Airport Community Ecology (ACE) Fund Successful ACE Projects KeyTech Labs Farmbot Program in Des Moines Environmental Science Center Beach Heroes Program in Burien Partner in Employment cleanup and recycling education program in SeaTac Zero Waste Washington Plastic Waste Reduction Program in Burien…
