,J,mt: Monday, April 19, 1999 10:14 AM To: Luster, Tom Subject: email from Gail Ter-zi FROM GAlL TERZI, RE: SR509 As for the other issue - I have not gotton the discipline reports for the 509 proposal yet, but expect them any day now. I agree there are a lot of conflictingitems going on about the 509 proposal and the 3rd runway - a couple that come to mind are the wetland fills (509 and SASA are in the same area) - moving Des Moines Creek for 509 when the Port is spending millions of dollarsto bridge the creek at Tyee, and (this is a big AND) FAA evidentlyis tellingWSDOT that they CAN mitigate (as in habitat) within the watershed which is certainly a different story than that told to the Port. Also, obviouslythe secondary and cumulative impacts to the watershed(s) takes on a whole new lightwhen you consider both projects. We are supposed to have a meeting soon with the Port to go over the new project plans and the new impact acreage, so lets keep in touch about these 2 projects, which from my view point rightnow anyway are related (at least as far as position -,. in the landscape is concerned).
