Port of Seattle – Environmental Excellence Awards Program

The Port of Seattle Aviation Division is accepting nominations for the The Green Gateway Environmental Excellence Award for Airlines and Tenants of Seattle‐Tacoma International Airport. This call for nominations is for actions and efforts that occurred in 2011. The program is designed to be an annual event to honor and recognize tenants for outstanding environmental performance, innovative best practices, pollution prevention, and resource conservation. Award recipients will be honored during a Port of Seattle Commission meeting and will receive a commemorative plaque. The Port will announce the winners to the news media and on the Port website and in publications. Sea‐Tac is committed to creating a sustainable airport that minimizes the environmental impacts of our operations. This new awards program is just one element in the Port’s efforts to promote environmental stewardship and the implementation of proactive environmental initiatives. The Port is committed to integrating environmental considerations into all aspects of its strategic planning and business decision‐making, including its relations with business partners.
