Burien Residents, 100% BIPOC Youth Mural Apprentice Program 21-22 Funding: $26,524 Provides a Mural Apprentice Program for youth from eligible low- and moderate- income households. This is an arts-based employment program for teens who face barriers to the arts, education, and employment, including those in the juvenile court system. Burien Residents (Youth), 100% BIPOC Immigrant & Refugee Training & Employment 21-22 Funding: $20,000 Connects refugees and immigrants to the resources they need to overcome barriers to employment and access family-wage jobs. Burien Residents, 100% BIPOC Youth Café Leadership & Small Business/Barista 21-22 Funding: $56,215 Provides a Summer Youth Leadership Development Academy for youth from eligible low- and moderate- income households where youth engage with a small business development curriculum focusing on worker-owned cooperatives, as well as leading a facilitating community events and participating in youth mental health workshops.
