• On November 27, 2018 the Port of Seattle Commission created the South King County Support Program. • From the adopted motion: • “Within the funding plan for 2019-2023 there shall be funding, not to exceed $10 million, designated for a South King County Support Program, which will be budgeted at $750,000 in 2019, to be used to provide resources and support for Sea-Tac International Airport area communities.” South King County Support Program Development • Commissioner and staff work is focused on: – Establishing a set of principles to guide Fund activity – Sample projects that could be implemented in a relatively short period of time – Ensuring equity through a comprehensive community engagement plan, and – Working to fashion an achievable timeline for both near-term and long-term activity South King County Support Program Update • Work continues on refining the guiding principles, with adoption at an upcoming Commission meeting • Initial engagement efforts will begin in June 2019 • Commission actions necessary to implement short-term projects will take place after community engagement
